Job Description
ABAX is seeking a summer intern to the IoT Connectivity team for 2024 (mid-June until mid-August). During your internship, you will work closely with our Software Engineers and our Solution Architect on specific projects targeted towards the ingress and connectivity part of our systems, which manage over 500K IoT devices.

• Implementing solutions-based on training and requirements
• Working closely with our Solution Architect to find the best solutions for our technical challenges
• Communicating and coordinating with other teams and team members to integrate and adapt technical solutions

We are looking for

To get the most out of your internship, we believe you should have a burning interest for the Software Engineering domain. Ideally combined with an eagerness to learn more and develop further. If you are a fast learner, youâll be off to a great start

Some practical pointers that will benefit you:

• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, R, C, C++ or C# (our preferred language and stack is C#, .NET)
• Familiarity of HTTP and how to work with HTTP-based APIâs, including REST based ones.
• Familiarity with architectural patterns like BDD, TDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing and especially DDD.
• Familiarity with distributed software architecture and messaging technologies like MQTT, AMQP, MassTransit and RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with a wide range of storage technologies from EventStore and MongoDB to SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• DevOps mindset capable of handling automation and build maintenance aiming for continuous delivery and deployment using Docker, GitLab, Kubernetes and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with source control systems like Git/GitLab.
• And last, but note least: good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, so you can interact with all your awesome colleagues.
