Design Engineering fleet leader

Alstom is currently part of upgrading the NORWAY Railway signaling system with the new ERTMS system. Alstom will integrate the new system into a fleet of Rolling Stock. Our main offices are in Oslo, NORWAY,  

 

For this project, we are looking leader for our engineering department

 

Network & Links:  The position  will report directly to the System integration and deployment manager

 

Overall the purpose of the role:

The role is to support managment engineering activity and follow up the first installation of the new signalling system inside the trains.

        

Key responsibilities:

Support of Engineering and installation activities,

Manage the daily activities of all engeneering topics raised by the installation team.

Prioritize the actions and manage their closure

Punch list

Configuration management

 

Qualification and skills

Interest for the heavy industies and/or the railway industry

Engineering background Mechanical or Electrical

Autonomous, committed to results, proactive

 

Behavorial Competencies:

You are very well organized, you can prioritize your action in regards of the level of importance/urgency for the company. You have good problem solving skills and a very open mindset. You like the technic and are willing to work on a complex new design train. Meeting people, communication skills and  work in a multi-cultural environment should be also part of your talents.

                                                    

Techinical Competencies and experience:

Experience – Able to understand technical expertise in sevral domain (electrical, mechanical, network communication….) Able to demonstrate the ability to work in collaboration with other departments (engineering, procurement, projects).   

 

Language Requirement:

 

Excellent in speaking and writing in English. Norwegian language will be a plus.
