The Role

Hardware Engineer Electronics

Purpose

The goal of the Engineer, Electronics Hardware is to develop, design, and improve hardware components for manufacturing and operation of inspection tools.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develops and improves hardware (analog/digital) of highly complex printed circuit boards (PCB) and sensor electronics for pipeline inspection tools considering established development standards and legal standards
  • Creates and reworks documentation and test instructions
  • Troubleshoots and tests assemblies and modules including documentation
  • Assembles and performs simulations of hardware test design as well as function and integration tests of modules and systems
  • Coordinates external employees and suppliers concerning electronics development and sensors
  • Monitors the lifecycle for existing electronics
  • Actively cooperates in several development projects

Ideal Profile

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related education 
  • 3 years of experience in hardware design including hardware systems knowledge including:
  • experience in debugging embedded hardware designs
  • experience with standard interfaces (e.g. ETH, I2C, CAN, SPI, 4-20 mA)
  • experience with standard directives like Conformité Européenne (CE) and low voltage
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English to effectively liaise the stakeholders of the region
