Overview:

Law Student Intern for Legal and Compliance 

We are seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented Law Student to join our Legal and Compliance functions. The internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience. You will be working with colleagues from all over the world and be a key player in ensuring success for legal and compliance processes in Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

The working hours will be 1 day a week (8 hours weekly) with the possibility of extending the working hours.



Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

Legal A variety of legal tasks within the maritime and logistics sectors, Contract analyses,  Process management, Various corporate matters, Legal research Compliance Stay updated and communicate regulatory changes and suggest relevant changes to the compliance program. Assist in providing advice to management and its business units on all compliance related matters and activities in line with the business strategy, goals and enablers. Support in compliance related audits and investigations.  Manage ad-hoc compliance matters and requests. Administrative Support Provide general administrative support and handle routine tasks to the Legal and Compliance functions as needed.  Contribute to special projects related to legal and compliance, such as policy and procedure updates and process improvements. 

Qualifications

Key skills:

Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Law or equivalent) (minimum two years of law studies or similar experience). Strong interest and background knowledge of maritime and/or corporate law and compliance is an advantage.  Excellent research and analytical skills.  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Good communication and collaboration skills. Excellent English skills both written and oral.

Our office is located in Lysaker, Strandveien . The office is conveniently close to all public transport. Physical presence at the office is required. Working language is English.
