Job Description

We are currently expanding our A&H team at Zurich Nordic with a market-facing Underwriter based in Oslo, Norway.

As an underwriter within the A&H and Affinity space, you will have the opportunity to build and manage your own portfolio, as well as underwrite new business in accordance with our underwriting strategy. The role entails customer management, distribution, quotations, negotiations and measuring performance and analyzing risk.

You will play a crucial role in the profitable growth and successful operations of our Nordic business, with a specific focus on the Norwegian market. From our Nordic base, we primarily serve brokers and clients within the Nordic region. We offer group insurance solutions for corporations as well as organisations

You will build partnerships in support of customer/business acquisition and retention. You will also proactively contribute with ideas and work for the development of new or enhanced propositions based on technical, customer and distributor insights. As well as proactively seek new partnership opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience as an Underwriter
• Good understanding of group insurance schemes in the Nordic A&H and non-motor Affinity space
• Knowledge and experience of the local insurance market
• Demonstrated expertise of business and product development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and a Nordic language are required

• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Project management skills, co-operating with other internal functions
• Strong analytical skills and business awareness
• Technical background and knowledge along the underwriting core processes
• Knowledge of risk analysis and selection, pricing for new business and renewals
• Good negotiation skills and sales oriented
• Good presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation

As a person, you are a team player and an analytical thinker. You are data driven and have a strong business and customer focus as well as interest in customer relationships and negotiation. You are fast moving and flexible. You like working independently but with good abilities to co-operate with both customers and colleagues.
