CHC Helikopter Services is recruiting for a new role as Crew Planner to join our OCC team. This role will be based in Stavanger, Norway. This is a full-time position, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation in a very rewarding area of aviation. OCC is responsible for planning and delivering resources in accordance with applicable rules and regulations, contractual requirements, and to the highest level of customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will also have good development opportunities within the organisation.
The role will report to the Manager of Crew Planning.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the short- and long-term planning and optimisation of resources.
- Ensure utilisation and plan in accordance with company requirements, legislation, and budgeting.
- Effectively use systems, data, and operational knowledge to ensure the optimal use of resources.
- Follow-up and arrange various training requirements.
- Monitor work and rest hours for crew, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare and follow-up on reports and statistics.
- Continuously work to improve processes and systems for crew planning and scheduling.
- Maintain and take ownership of systems related to crew planning and scheduling.
- Arrange for travel and accommodation.
- Contribute to administrative tasks, such as invoicing, salary changes, and holiday schedules.
May perform other duties as assigned and within areas of responsibility.
Minimum Requirements- Relevant bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Management, or other relevant degree. Relevant experience may compensate for the lack of formal education.
- Experience in the aviation industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of Collective Bargaining Agreements is an advantage.
- Proficient in Norwegian and English, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role or similar is preferred.
- Experience with crew planning or people management.
- Excellent skills in planning systems and general IT knowledge.
- Excellent understanding of various CLA, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work calmly under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
- Ability to prioritise a heavy workload in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
- Operates with the highest integrity, tackles problems with ingenuity, and constantly pursues excellence.
- Strong financial understanding and ability to ensure cost-efficient crew planning.
- Strong work ethic and enthusiasm with a can-do attitude.
- Organised and motivated individual who works well in a team and independently.
