Job Description

In the role as Consultant - Team Lead Civil, we are seeking a competent, self-driven and committed individual. It's a contractual position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Site Preparation: Ensure that the project site is properly prepared for construction activities. This involves coordinating activities such as site clearance, leveling, and soil testing to ensure a solid foundation for the solar plant.
  2. Construction Supervision: Oversee the construction activities on-site, ensuring that work is carried out according to approved designs, specifications, and safety standards. Monitor the progress of construction tasks, resolve any issues or conflicts that arise, and make necessary adjustments to the construction plan as required.
  3. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all civil works meet the required standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify compliance and address any non-compliance or deficiencies promptly.
  4. Material Management: Coordinate the EPC contractor, delivery, and storage of construction materials required for civil works. Maintain inventory records, material usage, and ensure that the right materials are available when needed.
  5. Contractor Management: Supervise and manage the work of contractors and subcontractors involved in civil construction activities. Provide guidance, instructions, and support to contractors, and monitor their performance to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  6. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to the safety regulations and guidelines. Conduct regular safety inspections, promote safety culture among workers, and take necessary actions to mitigate potential risks or hazards.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, material usage, and any incidents or delays. Prepare regular reports summarizing the project's status and communicate updates to the project manager.
  8. Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders, such as electrical engineers and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of civil construction activities with other project components.
  9. Problem Solving: Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction phase. Analyze problems, propose solutions, and coordinate with relevant parties to implement corrective measures.

Qualifications

We look for experienced personnel with the essential skills that includes:

  • BE/ Diploma- Civil with more than 10 years of experience in Site Civil works.
  • Experience- Min. +6 yrs. as a Civil Site In-charge on a solar project in a MW scale.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality technical reports within the predefined deadline.
  • Knowledge of the software AutoCAD is mandatory and STAAD Pro awareness will be an extra advantage.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Well-versed with Civil standards codes.
