Onboarding you to the Company

At Nexans, our global vision is to electrify the future. In our business group 'Generation & Transmission', this means designing and fabricating the world's best cables. We deliver EPCI turnkey projects anywhere in the world, utilizing the best tools, equipment, and skilled personnel to install and service those cables.

Welcoming you to the team

The Project Planner department is diverse and multicultural, comprising 20 members located mainly in Oslo, divided into 5 portfolios/teams. Our department is responsible for planning all related activities in accordance with Nexans planning procedures throughout the project lifecycle. With projects worldwide, the team supports small, simple projects as well as large, complex turn-key projects. The workplace is in Oslo, and you will report to the Project Planning Manager, overseeing a team of planners.

Responsibilities include mentoring planners, ensuring quality of schedules, and assisting the Project Director/Manager in resolving schedule-related challenges. You will support the project and technical management team in planning activities governed by the Contract, internal procedures, and the Project Model. Establishing the baseline schedule will be part of your role, including critical path analysis. You will proactively ensure detailed planning, risk identification, and opportunities follow-up. Additionally, you will identify and understand client, stakeholder, and third-party obligations, leading initiatives and participating in technical improvements relevant to our department while promoting Quality and HSE.
