Simplifai is looking for a Back End Engineer to join our team in Oslo.

Our new Back End Engineer focuses on designing and maintaining scalable, robust APIs and services that power our AI platform. This role handles data processing, performance optimization, and integration logic, ensuring BFSI-level reliability and compliance.

This is a permanent full-time position and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible, but we are flexible.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance .NET applications using C#
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Implement efficient data access patterns using Entity Framework (EF Core) or ADO.NET
  • Ensure database security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes (K8S). We use GitHub and Flux

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in C# and .NET development (ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including query optimization and database design
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies across responsibilities/teams.
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Serilog, Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus
  • Understanding of message queuing systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka
  • Knowledge of authentication and security best practices (OAuth, JWT) is a plus
