TGS provides scientific data and intelligence to companies active in the energy sector. In addition to a global, extensive and diverse energy data library, TGS offers specialized services such as advanced processing and analytics alongside cloud-based data applications and solutions.

Geophysical Support at TGS offers comprehensive geophysical survey design services, ranging from marine exploration and production seismic to high-resolution seismic for CCS, and ultra-high resolution site characterization for offshore wind farms.

The key responsibilities include providing geophysical support and advice to TGS commercial teams and clients, conducting geophysical survey modeling, and designing competitive and geophysical sound marine acquisition solutions. These tasks should align with clients' geophysical requirements and include offering recommendations on technical specifications and geophysical decisions.

As a subject matter expert in this role, you will interact with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, necessitating excellent collaborative skills.

Main tasks:

  1. Seismic survey design and geophysical support for proprietary and multi-client seismic surveys (towed multisensor streamer, OBN, UHR3D)
  2. Geophysical feasibility studies and forward seismic modeling
  3. Advanced geophysical studies
  4. Marine source modeling and array design
  5. Participate in project and business development meetings, provide subject matter expertise, and technical training for staff

Skills and competencies:

  1. Strong understanding of the seismic value chain, seismic acquisition and imaging technology
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of geophysical survey planning, seismic modelling, signal analysis
  3. Good understanding of data processing
  4. Ability to present TGS' technical solutions internally and externally

Qualifications:

  1. Higher university degree in geophysics or similar
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  3. Fluency in English
