Assignment Description

  • Review and implement requirements in the following documents as applicable: Client contract documents, including specifications, scope of work, guarantees, and list of documents to be submitted to the Client. Division of work and agreements with partners Local codes, laws, directives and standards Preliminary Environmental Analysis (ISO 14001) Project documents handed over from sales, like drawings, calculations, studies, reports, technical specifications, material take-off, materials and equipment lists. Questions and answers lists, deviations and clarification list, technical bids from vendors, budgets etc.
  • Address to the client, through the Project Engineer or Proposal Manager, requests for missing documents and information.
  • Prepare the following documents as applicable, according to the time schedule, and from reuse database where relevant: Technical Data and Specification Supplier Document Requirement List Request for Quotation Material Requisition PowerMax Purchase Requisition according to relevant Work Breakdown Structure As built documentation.
  • Evaluate suppliers' offers and ask them for revisions when necessary to align quotations from other suppliers.
  • Participate in purchasing negotiations with other project members to establish the appropriate technical basis for the contract.
  • Before orders to vendors are awarded, check that applicable documents are complete, including revisions issued during negotiations.
  • Be responsible for monitoring and engineering documents and drawings to be provided by the vendors and subcontractors she or he is responsible for, and to expedite delivery in case of delay, with particular care for critical documents such as: Foundation loads Interfaces and battery limits Consumption lists.
  • Be responsible for correct and complete circulation of information and documents related to mechanical equipment during tendering or project execution.
  • Be the link to relevant external engineering resources.
  • Support the Project Engineer in replying to relevant client queries.
  • Participate in relevant project meetings.
  • Support the Project Engineer in follow-up of the site team during erection, mechanical completion, commissioning and trial run phases, and in handling Non Conformance Records as needed.
  • Support the Project Engineer, the Project Manager and/or the contract manager in technical issues related to claims to or from the client, partners, and vendors.
  • Support the quality function in the project during inspections as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: University Degree in Engineering (MSc, BSc or equivalent)
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years experience in an engineering or construction coordination position of heavy industrial equipment.
  • Certification: None required
  • Knowledge:
  • Relevant mechanical equipment
  • Microsoft Office and other relevant computer software
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Fluency in written and spoken Norwegian
  • Planning Knowledge
  • Knowledge of pollution control systems
