General Manager, Product Sales and Product Management, Thrusters

The T&PCS Product Line (PL) supervises the relevant business and provides a link between the market, the internal teams, and the external partners. The team controls, develops, supports, and promotes the specific Wärtsilä Thruster products and technologies used on ships all around the world. Specific focus will be given to strategically important ship segments in offshore, cruise and ferries, tugboats, and various merchant vessels. Due to positive development of the business, we are hiring and structuring our team for next level performance.

As a General Manager Product Sales and Product Management in Thrusters and Propulsion Control Systems (T&PCS) Product Line, you will find yourself in the heart of the exciting world of the Maritime industry.

What you will be doing

Your role will cover the product sales and product management activities of the T&PCS. You will support the existing baseline products of transverse thrusters, steerable thrusters, and retractable thrusters. You will support the rest of the Wärtsilä organisation worldwide to be successful together. To become successful in your tasks, you have a very experienced team with you to make the difference In this role, you will be part of the management team of T&PCS and you will report to the Director of the Product Line.

For this position, we are looking for a seasoned and passionate leader who is knowledgeable in the thrusters/propulsion discipline, familiar with customer interactions combined with experience in relevant leadership roles.

Preferred locations for this position are Propulsion key locations in Netherlands, Norway, Finland, or China. Other locations can be considered in case of a good match with the candidate. We are flexible for hybrid working models as well, in accordance with prevailing guidance for the relevant country.
