About the position

In this position, you will be a key resource and manager within the cyber discipline, ensuring that we continue to design secure and robust solutions for our clients. You will integrate cyber security into our engineering processes, from studies to FEED and execution. Additionally, you will help with cyber resource planning, develop best practices, and aid as an active resource in projects.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Act as a key senior resource in projects related to cyber security.
  • Lead the coordination of cyber security needs across multiple projects and ensure optimal resource allocation across geographical locations within M&Y.
  • Develop templates, methodologies, and best practices for cyber security engineering.
  • Mentor and develop cyber security talents within the department, fostering a strong knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Help solve the most challenging cyber security issues in projects, ensuring effective and secure solutions.
  • Participate in multi-discipline project meetings involving instrumentation, automation, and other key areas, providing guidance on cyber security designs and solutions.
  • Be deeply familiar with and further develop our "way of working with cyber" and apply these methodologies in projects while also training other engineers.
  • Be a key resource for risk management and risk assessments in projects.
  • Stay up to date on the OT-related threat landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with cyber security frameworks such as IEC 62443, Equinor TR requirements and other relevant requirements.

Qualifications

Below is a list of key qualifications we value. While you may not have experience in all of these areas, we welcome candidates who bring relevant skills or have the ability and willingness to learn.

  • Prior experience leading and managing technical resources.
  • Extensive experience (10-15+ years) within cyber security from IT, OT, or both.
  • General competence/understanding of electro, automation and instrument disciplines, and how cyber can work closely with those disciplines in designing and implementing secure solutions.
  • Prior project experience within the oil, gas, energy and/or renewable energy sector.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. Relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Strong competence in network design, network technology, network architecture, and IT/OT security architecture.
  • Familiarity with cyber security compliance frameworks such as IEC 62443 and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with an eagerness to collaborate and contribute positively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Well versed in communicating highly technical details in an understandable way based on the audience.
  • Comfortable with holding lectures, seminars etc related to cyber security.
  • Proactive in seeking advice and promoting the sharing of knowledge and experience within the team.
  • Dedication to meeting project deadlines while ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Cultural adaptability and openness to diverse working teams.
  • Effective communication skills in both spoken and written English. While proficiency in Norwegian is valued, it is not mandatory, but a willingness to learn is desirable.
