Engineer Technical Safety – P&E

Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree within Technical Safety or similar.
  • Relevant experience within Engineering can compensate for lack of higher education.
QHSE Responsibilities
  • Contribute to and focus on continuous improvement in order to achieve the company's mission and objectives.
  • Ensure that focus will be directed towards security, environment, efficiency, quality, and competence according to the company's goals and guidelines.
  • Ensure that current processes and procedures for Quality assurance, Health, Security and Environment (QHSE) are observed.

  • Contribute to the overall working environment for oneself and colleagues.

QHSE is a common responsibility and impacts all employees.

Duties/Tasks

Provide support to project work and contribute to the development/implementation of tools and work processes within the area of responsibility.
Ensure that all required tasks are carried out in accordance with the requirements, specifications, and schedule.

  • Fire and gas systems (active and passive fire protection, detection, area classification, etc.).
  • Shutdown philosophy.
  • Barrier management in relation to safety strategies and/or performance standards.
  • Facilitate risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, Change & Constructability analysis, Design Review, Change analysis, etc.
  • Studies and project execution within Technical Safety.
  • Ensure a good technical work environment.
  • Perform design reviews and specifications.
Client Relations (Internal and External)
  • Contribute to providing excellent customer service.
  • Be involved in the promotion of the section to customers internally and externally.
  • Contribute to attracting and finding new projects and assignments.
Social Responsibilities
  • Contribute to creating a good working environment.
  • Contribute to recommending improvements, as well as record discrepancies with suggestions for corrective measures.
  • Work with management to develop own expertise.
Systems
  • Follow all applicable instructions and procedures to maintain a good quality and effectiveness of the work.
  • Use the systems and programs required and authorized by the company.
  • Initiate/notify any need for reviewing and ordering of equipment and tools to implement all the tasks imposed.
