We are looking for a Lead Mainframe Specialist – zHardware Systems (HMC/HCD) for our client in Norway.

Your Role:

In this role you will identify potential issues and work with cutting-edge technologies. You will manage client systems, ensure security compliance, and prioritize tasks to deliver optimal solutions. Each day is unique, with no two projects alike, as you collaborate with technicians to meet client needs.

About the Client:

Our client is a global leader, home to some of the world's best talent who design, operate, and manage the most advanced and reliable technology infrastructure daily. They are a provider of IT infrastructure services, specializing in designing, building, managing, and modernizing critical technology systems for enterprises.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Ensuring optimal performance and reliability including troubleshooting hardware issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  2. Plan, implement and maintain GDPS for high availability and disaster recovery.
  3. Plan and implement Hardware Management Console (HMC) and Hardware Configuration Definition (HCD) tasks.
  4. Apply in-depth knowledge of zOS systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and ensure system security.
  5. Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
What You Bring:
  1. Ideally 5 years or more of experience in mainframe hardware system administration.
  2. Expertise in zHardware, HMC/HCD.
  3. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with GDPS.
  4. zCrypto solutions (ICSF).
  5. Knowledge of zOS system architecture and operations.
  6. Proficient in English (must have).
Good to Have:
  1. Hardware migrations.
  2. Knowledge of networks and experience with switches.
  3. ITIL processes and best practices.
