Overview:

A Leading Global Provider of Sustainability Solutions is looking for a Senior Originator – Renewable Electricity Sourcing to join their rapidly growing teams.

The transition from fossil-based energy sources to renewables continues to accelerate. Consequently, the demand for tracked and documented renewable energy using Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) continues to grow rapidly. Much demand is driven by the business sector – with an increasingly global perspective.

My client is among the leading providers globally and is further strengthening its growing team. To be able to deliver on this strong demand, they are currently building a unit with the primary responsibility of procuring/sourcing volumes for sale to clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Work with established purchasing partners to grow the portfolio
  2. Negotiate and establish new partnerships and purchasing agreements
  3. Buy wholesale volumes in relevant markets to procure volumes needed for services and products, and to deliver on specific client requirements
  4. Risk assessment and portfolio balancing
  5. Prepare internal buy and sell prices
  6. Provide market information and prognosis to marketing teams
  7. Broad geographic reach – Europe, Asia and Latin-America.

Key Skill Requirements:

  1. 3-8 years of experience from power markets, EAC trading or related industries
  2. Extensive market network of relevant contacts
  3. Strong negotiator – with procurement skills
  4. Interest and understanding of digitalization as a business opportunity
  5. Structured, precise and solution-oriented
  6. Global outlook – international flair
  7. Team player
  8. University Degree
  9. Native or professional fluency in English – including excellent writing skills
  10. Workplace: Oslo, Norway, or location to be agreed
