The Nutreco Process Excellence Team is seeking an experienced Global Process Engineer with strong communication and collaboration skills to join our team. This key role will focus on optimizing energy and CO2 performance across our global manufacturing sites. You will develop and implement operational standards that ensure operational excellence in our manufacturing facilities, and your expertise will also drive the creation and implementation of innovative solutions.

We are looking for someone who brings hands-on, practical experience in process engineering, along with relevant education. While a solid and relevant educational background is important, we value real-world experience and the ability to apply knowledge in a practical setting above all.

The role will report to Global Process Excellence Lead, and you will be part of the Nutreco Process Excellence Team.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Execute production & process assessments at our operating companies worldwide to improve plant performance with a focus on efficiency and energy reduction.
  2. Develop, document, implement and maintain operational standards to ensure operational excellence in existing and future manufacturing sites.
  3. Develop, test and implement innovative solutions that increase our production efficiency and reduce our environmental impact.
  4. Interact with investment teams to give advice and support in large investment projects.
  5. Communicate key improvement areas related to energy and CO2 production to all business units, the sustainability team and other stakeholders.
  6. Guide the local organisations in the follow-up and implementation of issued recommendations.
  7. Provide onsite and offsite technical support and training to all Nutreco plants worldwide in the areas of efficiency and sustainability in production.
  8. Support and guide our network of manufacturing experts in the sharing and defining of best practice and local implementation of new concepts and technologies.

What we ask:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Feed Technology, or a related technical field.
  2. In-depth knowledge of feed manufacturing processes, practical experience in production environments is highly valued.
  3. Familiarity with sustainability practices and CO2 reduction strategies in manufacturing.
  4. Experience with Energy Management Systems and implementing energy-saving initiatives.
  5. Knowledge of Operational Excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean, TPM, Six Sigma) is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  6. Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

What you bring:

For this role, we are looking for someone that possesses strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. We hope you're results-driven, able to manage multiple priorities, and adaptable to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential, as the role requires interaction with both strategic leaders and operational teams. A focus on continuous improvement, a passion for sustainability, and the ability to drive change through practical solutions will be key to success. Additionally, a hands-on, team-oriented approach, combined with the ability to work independently and take initiative, is highly valued.

What's in it for you:

We offer challenging tasks that allow you to grow professionally, competitive terms, a good pension and insurance scheme, and a strong innovative and inclusive culture.
