The Role

As a Mainframe System zOS-Automation Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients.

You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

You'll also get the chance to share your expertise by recommending modernization options, identifying new business opportunities, and cultivating relationships with other teams and stakeholders. Collaborating with a diverse group of talented people will help you gain invaluable management and organizational skills.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Maintain current automation routines
  2. Provide support to customers and internal z/OS software and operation teams
  3. Troubleshooting, finding root cause to issues and providing automation solutions
  4. Develop and implement new, proactive automation solutions
  5. Participate in various projects

Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  1. 5 or more years of experience working with Automation tools like CA-OPS/MVS and Netview System Automation for z/OS
  2. Experienced in coding REXX for automation products like CA-OPS/MVS and SA
  3. Good understanding of Z/OS and subsystems like IMS, DB2, CICS
  4. Proficiency with common zOS system tools such as TSO, ISPF, SDSF
  5. A good understanding of Mainframe z/OS system operations
  6. Proficient in English (must have)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  1. Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
  2. Some knowledge about GDPS systems
