We are now looking for a skilled and ambitious Senior Hardware Engineer to help us develop our pioneering portfolio of video devices further.
Based at our global headquarters in Oslo, you will join Neat's main R&D hub of over 70 experienced engineers and designers. Do you want to join us building high quality hardware enabling teams to collaborate even when they are geographically dispersed?
Among your competence and experiences are:
- Interest and knowledge of embedded software and hardware based on advanced SoC systems
- Interest in practical testing, troubleshooting and quality assurance of electronics
- Knowledge of various data, audio, video and camera interfaces
- Experience with schematic and layout design/reviewing
- Specifications, design and testing of:
- Optical cameras, lenses and image sensors
- Environmental sensors
- Touch display modules
- Speaker modules, amplifiers and microphones
Primary responsibilities of the Senior Hardware Engineer:
- Lead the hardware development together with the engineers from our Asian partners from early concept stages until product launch
- Create and review specifications
- Schematic and layout design and reviewing
- Work closely with disciplines like mechanics, compliance, acoustics, industrial design, software, project manager, quality and supply chain
- Testing and debugging of embedded hardware
- Travel required; flexible working offered in return
Qualities we are looking for:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent years of experience
- 5+ years experience in schematic and layout design/reviewing
- Eager to learn new things and technologies
- Driven to build high quality, engaging experiences in a highly competitive environment
- Passion - we love what we do, you should too
- Knowledge of the video conferencing industry is a plus
