Oslo, Oslo County, Norway Xeneta AS Full time
UX Researcher (1-year fixed-term)

Department: Product

Employment Type: Fixed Term - Full Time

Location: Oslo (NO) or London (UK)

Reporting To: Carolina Rodrigues

Description Location: Oslo, Norway or London, UK (hybrid)

We are looking for a UX Researcher to join our Product Team at Xeneta. This is a critical hire as we scale our research efforts. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of user insights, validation studies, and customer experience strategy to support our rapid product evolution.

This role will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality UX research, data-driven decision-making, and seamless customer experiences across our touch-points. You will empower Product Managers with deep customer insights and scalable research frameworks, helping Xeneta work backwards from the customer to validate our long-term product strategy.

This role is a temporary, fixed term position to cover for our Senior UX Researcher, who will be on leave for 1 year. There is a possibility that the position could become permanent at the end of the fixed term.
Your Key Responsibilities As the sole dedicated UX Researcher in Xeneta, you will be the primary expert on conducting quantitative and qualitative research to deeply understand customer needs, workflows, and business challenges. Additionally, your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
  • Design and execute validation studies—turning qualitative insights into hypotheses and validating them with quantitative data.
  • Lead the Voice of the Customer program, ensuring alignment across Xeneta Customer Advisory Board, surveys, and customer insights.
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and behavior analytics to guide product development.
  • Analyze UX data patterns, ensuring enough evidence to validate or falsify product assumptions.
  • Own and improve survey design & analysis using Qualtrics and CommandAI (CSAT, UX surveys, card sorting, tree testing, etc.).
  • Track and define success metrics for UX and customer experience.
  • Conduct task-based usability testing and in-depth user interviews to generate actionable insights.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the Product Team, ensuring research methodologies are applied consistently.
  • Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to align multiple stakeholders and drive innovation.
  • Align CX strategy with marketing efforts, including messaging and tone of voice.
Your Professional & Personal Competencies Among you professional experience and qualifications, we are looking for:
  • 3+ years of UX Research experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong qualitative research skills—experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Deep experience in survey design, data analysis, and behavioral UX analytics using Qualtrics, CommandAI, CommandBar, Fullstory or similar tools.
  • Experience designing validation studies—qualitative hypothesis testing followed by quantitative validation/falsification.
  • Workshop facilitation skills—comfortable leading ideation, prioritization, and research debriefs.
  • Experience working with small research panels in a niche B2B industry is a preference, adapting methodologies to limited sample sizes.
In addition, you will benefit from approaching your work with a strategic mindset, where you connect user insights to long-term product decisions and roadmap validation. It is also preferable if you enjoy coaching, mentoring, and embedding UX Research best practices across Product and Engineering teams. Among personal qualities, we are looking for:
  • Customer-obsessed—always seeking to uncover deep insights and drive meaningful improvements.
  • Analytical & structured—able to extract patterns from data and turn them into strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborative & proactive—a self-starter who can work independently while engaging key stakeholders.
  • Strong communicator—able to break down complex topics into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Curious & adaptive—relentless in asking the right questions and pushing for evidence-based decisions.
Why You Will Love It Here
  • Shape the future – Your work will directly influence Xeneta's product strategy and drive meaningful industry change.
  • Fast-moving & impactful – We are scaling a category-leading SaaS product in a multi-billion-dollar industry.
  • Collaborative & expert-driven – Work with top-tier talent in shipping, tech, and data analytics.
  • Growth & learning – We invest in your career development and offer hands-on learning opportunities.
  • Flexible working conditions – Hybrid work, flexible hours, and autonomy to structure your day.
