Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a generations' spanning view of the future, born of our nine decades experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom's vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to a vast number of communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply.

We are seeking an Oil & Gas Treatment Specialist to join our Oil & Gas Treatment R&D Division (O>R&DD).

O>R&DD is responsible for providing novel technology solutions to address evolving business and operational mid-stream challenges and needs.

Your primary role is to assume responsibility for initiating R&D projects to solve challenges in the mid-stream segment, providing technical insight and consultancy to Aramco research and development projects; and providing technical consultancy for the development, evaluation and selection of cost-effective technologies to ensure compliance with production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-feasibility and full feasibility studies on novel technologies.
  • Develop plans for bench-scale, pilot, and demonstration studies for novel oil and gas treatment technologies, and provide guidance during their execution.
  • Perform simulation studies e.g. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to develop novel oil and gas treatment technology options.
  • Identify and lead collaboration activities with leading institutes and other organizations in the development of oil and gas treatment technologies, and connect with the world-leading experts as needed.
  • Liaise with relevant Aramco stakeholders to ensure in-house technology options are deployed promptly.

Minimum Requirements

  • You must have a Ph.D. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a background on midstream crude oil treatment processes.
  • You must have a minimum of 20 years' experience collaborating with technical experts with diverse backgrounds and nationalities within the oil and gas industry.
  • You should have a strong scientific/technical background and a broad technical credibility, as demonstrated by having publications in reputable, well-known, peer-reviewed journals.
  • You must have a proven track record of conducting advanced technical projects with an ability to connect basic science research with industrial applications.

At Aramco, our people work on truly world-scale projects, supported by investment in capital and technology that is second to none. And because, as a global energy company, we are faced with addressing some of the world's biggest technical, logistical and environmental challenges, we invest heavily in talent development.
