About the Role

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the team with efficient and qualitative service to a portfolio of assigned clients in the Accounting and Tax department. You will work in accordance with local Accounting and Tax legislation and in line with internal client regulations, as well as in compliance with all internal procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Making entries into the accounting system in accordance with accounting and tax regulations
• Reconciliation works relating to various accounts
• Prepare documentation and information around more complicated accounting entries
• Responsible for preparation of financial statements (standalone and consolidated) for statutory purposes
• Responsible for preparation of group reporting in the format required by the client
• Preparing tax calculations/returns in accordance with tax regulations
• Preparation of documents for audit purposes
• Any other administrative tasks assigned by the Supervisors or Team Leader
• Responsible for timely reporting to the client and tax authorities
• Responsible for all range of accounting activities performed for allocated clients
• Communicating with the client regarding a wide range of operational issues
• Keeping up to date with tax and accounting law changes

Key Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience in the full accounting area
• Oil & Gas accounting (JV, Revenue, Drilling)
• Up to one year of experience in preparing tax returns and financial statements
• Experience in Visma Business, Fortnox, and/or SAP is an advantage
• Ability to prioritize client work and keen to learn new things daily
• Bachelor or Master's degree (preferably in finance and accounting, economics or related field)
• Full proficiency in English and Norwegian
