We are now looking for Program Manager R&D with a strong background from product development to join our growing Program Management Team. As a Program Manager you will be responsible for managing multiple simultaneous R&D projects from concept to market. You will be working with our highly technology driven R&D team and our production team to bring new products to the market. The projects are multi-disciplinary and require high level of coordination between several project managers with the various disciplines.

Your skill set should encompass structure, planning and setting direction, in combination with creativity, problem solving and great communication skills. You should love to be hands-on on your deliverables.

AutoStore is the pioneer of robotic cube storage systems and is constantly evolving as a company. We are changing the way goods and services are stored across the globe, and are pushing borders to increase efficiency, safety and develop new products for our customers. Today, there are over 170 employees at the Research & Development Department in AutoStore, spread across our headquarter in Nedre Vats, our location in Oslo and North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assigned project/programs from start to finish
  • Responsible for monitoring the delivery of scope, timelines, budget and quality throughout the projects
  • Communicate and coordinate efficiently across different departments and disciplines
  • Engage with external partners, manufacturers and suppliers
  • Keep high focus on end product and reduce production and maintenance cost
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders within and outside the organization
  • Understand the total aspect of AutoStore's product and services
  • Perceive the challenges and core needs of our customers
  • Travel up to 2-3 times per month onsite to Norway for close project and program coordination.
Qualifications:
  • Higher education Bsc/Msc within technology
  • Minimum five years' work experience as project manager or 5 years of work in product management or engineering of robotics/automated storage solutions.
  • In lieu of program manager experience will also consider candidates with experience working with complex products development and/or product management/project management experience of at least 5 years.
  • Experience with managing multiple highly complex projects to support program delivery
  • Preferably experience as a developer/engineer
  • Desirable with PMI certification
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian is positive
