Onboarding you to the Company
At Nexans, our global vision is to electrify the future. At subsea and land systems, this means designing, engineering, and fabricating the world's best cables. It also means having project execution competence and skillset and resources to install and service those cables.
How you make an impact
Is responsible for project documents in project such as:
- Start-up documents as MDR, Procurement plan etc.
- Project plan for own principal area.
- Technical specifications
- Operational procedures and calculations.
- Design modifications to the installation/protection spread as required
- Take part in DIC, IDC and document reviews.
Is responsible for project work such as:
- Project specific and Nexans corporate HSE and Quality requirements are incorporated in the delegated engineering and procurement activities.
- Establishment of interface requirements and assist in resolving interface issues.
- Following up of suppliers
- Progress and other meetings with Client.
- Safe Job analysis/HAZOPS/FMEA's as required in the project.
- Scope of work within time, cost and technical requirements.
- Delegate work packages of scope of work and follow up
- Offshore supervision
Participate in department/company work such as:
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Take personal responsibility for own HSE in all involved activities.
- Have zero tolerance for poor HSE standards, and intervene to stop unsafe work.
- Act like a HSE role model for others.
- Training of new personnel
- Research and development of new technologies

The Marine Installation Engineering group consists of almost 200 engineers working with marine operations. You will be part of the Cable Laying department, which enables the company in its ability to plan and execute marine installation activities worldwide. Getting a flying start
To succeed in our department, you have relevant experience within marine installation engineering, and some experience with a combined office, site, and offshore work environment. You also have worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to marine installation, preferably subsea cables and/or offshore wind, interconnectors or power from shore. At the same time being comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects, ideally you are not afraid to take lead through your natural initiative and drive.
