About the role: We're looking for at least one highly motivated and proactive Data Analyst to join our team. You'll work as part of a knowledge hub together with other engineers and analysts, while also being embedded in cross-functional product teams and business units—making a direct impact on Spond's global growth and monetization. Key responsibilities
  • Gather and model data from multiple sources (internal product databases, analytics platforms, surveys, etc.) and consolidate it into accurate, actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations that drive decision-making across the company.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, etc.) to jointly identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and measure outcomes.
  • Translate complex data into clear business recommendations, influencing product roadmaps and organizational strategies.
  • Help educate and enable teams to become more data-driven through development of best practices and tooling.
Formal qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of completed higher education in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data science, or closely related quantitative fields.
  • Preferably at least one year of relevant experience in data/business analysis, data science, or data engineering. Strong graduates with relevant academic or project experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Fluent English and Norwegian proficiency required, both written and spoken.
Technical skills
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) and SQL for data wrangling and analysis.
  • Basic understanding of ETL pipelines and data processing frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball dimensional-modeling)
  • Basic knowledge of commonly used analytical patterns (e.g., aggregation-, cumulation-, and window-based patterns)
Personal attributes
  • Adept at breaking down complex problems, interpreting results, and communicating insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and challenging stakeholders to clarify the real business needs behind data requests—ensuring every analysis brings tangible value.
  • Embrace a growth mindset, contributing to both your own development and that of the teams around you.
  • Thrives in a diverse, dynamic environment, proactively seeking out partnerships across the organization to elevate collective knowledge and outcomes.
We consider it a bonus if you have
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud environments
  • Proficiency with dbt
  • Familiarity with Databricks
  • Experience using BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Lightdash, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of code management and deployment best practices (CI/CD)
  • Exposure to A/B testing, product metrics, or user funnel analysis
  • Working knowledge of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras)
