WindSim´s Norway offices are in Tønsberg (Telemark and Vestfold) and Oslo.

About the position

As our new CFD developer, you will be a key contributor in developing core wind simulation models for the cloud-based WindSim Accelerator solution. You will be a member of the product development team and actively participate in all phases of the development cycle.

A Norwegian residency permit is required.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Develop and operate cloud-based wind flow and wind analytics applications.
  2. Collaborate closely with other teams to identify software requirements and design specifications.
  3. Contribute to the product development process, including product ideation, development, launch, operations, and maintenance.
  4. Stay up to date with developments in CFD software and wind energy applications.
  5. Continuously improve the quality of the delivered products.

Your Background and Aptitude

  1. Experience from wind resource assessment or micro-siting.
  2. Strong programming skills and experience with some of the following tools and topics: CFD, simulations, meteorology, Fortran, C#, Java, Python, MATLAB, HTML, 3D visualization.
  3. Solution mindset and can-do attitude.
  4. Ability to develop and execute initiatives end-to-end.
  5. Degree in Meteorology, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
