Your role and responsibilities
Would you like to help our customers get the support they deserve? Do you enjoy engaging in dialogue with customers both internally and externally? If so, you might be the right fit for the role of Service Bid Manager, as you will be the key to making things work to the best advantage of our customers and ABB. To secure work-load balance, further growth, and continues excellent support to our customers we seek one additional resource to join our sales team at one of ABB's offices in Norway. In the role of Technical Bid Manager, we need someone who wants to take responsibility for facilitating and executing the proposal process, where you will maintain customer relationships through good dialogue, accessibility, knowledge, and competence together with established service teams. These teams will help customers achieve optimal operations, contribute to solutions that improve efficiency, save resources, reduce emissions, and adopt new technologies that support the green shift. This position suits a person with a high level of customer orientation, network-oriented thinking, a strong sense of personal responsibility, and a desire and ability to acquire new technical knowledge. Your expertise will significantly contribute to further business success and customer satisfaction. The position offers excellent advancement prospects towards senior bid management, sales management, project management and other positions based on skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead proposal teams in close collaboration with Account Managers and other sales personnel.
- Build long-term customer relationships and ensure correct responses to specific customer needs and issues.
- Prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals.
- Manage ABB's service portfolio, including service agreements, spare parts, upgrades, and digital services.
- Understand and contribute to developing and implementing sales strategies.
Qualifications for the role:
- Engineer (BSc, MSc)/Technical college, with relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering and or electrical service.
- Project experience.
- Experienced candidates will be considered even if formal education is lacking.
- Leadership skills.
- Teamwork abilities.
- Structured and quality-conscious.
