We are seeking an experienced automation engineer to join a larger oil and gas FEED project and/or studies for our customers. The projects involve the design of new platforms, modification of existing systems, and the handling of interfaces with several contracts. The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in automation systems engineering, with work on SAS system design.

Tasks:
  1. Design, interface, and manage safety and automation (SAS) systems as directed by the team leader.
  2. Create specifications for global SAS system design, including modifications and new designs.
  3. Review the technical documentation for SAS.
  4. Prepare and complete engineering documents and data records.
  5. Participate in hardware and software design.
  6. Collaborate with other disciplines, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  7. Offshore inspection may be required.
Work experience requirements:
  1. At least 5-10 years of experience in automation engineering.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and SAS system design, including SAS/automation network solutions.
  3. In-depth knowledge of automation design and networks, in accordance with standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PSA, and IEC.
Requirements for skills and qualifications:
  1. Effective communicator in English and Norwegian (both written and oral).
  2. Cooperative and comfortable working in a multicultural team environment.
  3. Ability to work independently and in teams.
  4. Systematic and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and quality.
  5. Proactive attitude, willing to seek advice and share experiences.
Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree or higher (long experience can compensate for academic education).
