NOV Energy Equipment is seeking an Automation Software Engineer with responsibilities of engineering, configuration of applications, documentation, and testing of drilling control systems.

We are one of the leading companies within integrated control systems globally and need more skilled employees for our team in Stavanger. With us, you will play an important part in delivering and improving our drilling control system solutions that will provide great value to our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Development and configuration of HMI applications and datalogging applications.
  • Deployment and configuration of servers, terminals, and network switches.
  • Testing, internally and together with customer.
  • Deliver, plan and carry out projects according to customer specifications.
  • Technical support during installation and start-up phase.

Qualifications:

  • Master, Bachelor or equivalent education within computer Automation/electro/information technology or equivalent.
  • Some years' experience working with HMI and control systems.
  • Practical experience with hardware IT/Network equipment.
  • Experience with industrial automation solutions and industrial networks.
  • Eager to create good solutions for customers and quality in project delivery.
  • Ability to contribute to a good environment with a high focus on professional sharing and technological curiosity, social skills, and cooperation with different environments and cultures.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with good skills to work both independently and with others.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
