About the role

We are now hiring our first Head of IT to build and lead our internal IT function. You'll be responsible for taking over operations from an external provider and establishing the foundation for how we manage IT across the company.

This is a role with full ownership of our internal IT roadmap, from access management, internal tools used, internal support to security compliance. You'll work closely with our infrastructure team and CISO, and play a key role in supporting both daily operations and long-term scaling. The role is part of the Shared Services team and reports to the COO.

We're looking for someone who combines operational excellence with a strong technical skill set. You will be driving the strategic perspective for how we scale our company to drive quality and efficiency through the use of a modern set of digital tools and systems. Since this is our first in-house role within internal IT, it's important to know that the position will involve a fair amount of hands-on work, especially in the beginning. You'll be instrumental in building the foundation, so a practical mindset and willingness to get into the details are essential. We believe you'll know best how to scale our internal IT function, and trust you to guide us on that journey.

Responsibilities

  1. Build and lead Sensio's in-house IT operations.
  2. Ensure secure and seamless identity and access management across all platforms.
  3. Provide responsive and proactive IT support for employees, both in-office and remote.
  4. Automate IT workflows (e.g., onboarding, provisioning, compliance).
  5. Oversee software licensing, device management, and vendor relationships.
  6. Monitor system performance and reliability, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  7. Strengthen security and compliance in line with frameworks like ISO 27001 and Zero Trust.

What we are looking for

  1. 5+ years of experience in IT administration, DevOps, or systems engineering.
  2. Strong technical background across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
  4. Solid understanding of networking, identity management, and endpoint security.
  5. Hands-on skills in automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  6. Experience managing hybrid environments and supporting distributed teams.
  7. Familiarity with security standards (ISO 27001, RBAC, MFA) and compliance best practices.
  8. Fluency in English; Norwegian is a plus.
