The Lead Solution Engineer in our Public Sector sales organisation is a client facing sales consultant responsible for presenting product offerings and solutions in the best light to prospects and customers to best meet their business objectives. Our Solution Engineers are able to take complex business solutions and pieces of technology and explain them in a simple and easy to understand way.
As a SE you understand customer goals and challenges and map those back to the Salesforce product portfolio. You design, build, and demonstrate unique and innovative solutions to address these challenges, you present Salesforce technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with the PaaS, SaaS and Agentic AI stack.
In addition you participate in all appropriate product, sales, technical training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position. Attain quarterly and annual objectives defined collaboratively with management and respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs. Active participation in a fast-paced high-energy market segment and balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead the entire client functional and technical solution cycle in close collaboration with sales colleagues and the rest of the SE organisation.
- Understand the customer's needs, and establish Salesforce's product as the best solution that solves unique challenges.
- Convey a deep understanding of the Public Sector industry and technology as it pertains to Salesforce's solutions.
- Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, build and present customized demos of Salesforce products including solution concepts to key decision-makers to address their business issues and needs showing business value.
- Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge vital to be effective in the position.
- Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.
- Respond efficiently to RFPs.
- Have a strong curiosity about growing your career and participating in our internal training programs and mentorship initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, or delivery in an enterprise software solution organisation. We are open to a variety of backgrounds for the role.
- Proven oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
- Proven time management skills in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team to tackle problems in dynamic, energizing environments.
- Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.
- Loves to be the first to know something and to understand why and how things happen.
- Good at searching out information and experimenting, love to concentrate on a particular topic, and tackle puzzles.
- Good at explaining ideas and finding ways to keep people's attention.
- Willing and able to travel occasionally.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
- Fluency in Norwegian and English and right to work in Norway.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding the business requirements of customers within multiple industries and Public Sector in particular.
- Salesforce Product knowledge and certifications preferred but knowledge/experience with other CRM solutions is welcome as well.
- Passionate about AI, willing to lead the charge in the Agentic AI revolution.
