Duration: September 2024, with a 2-year contract duration.
Location: Stavanger

Assignment Description

Role includes, but is not limited to:

• Ensuring that the company has well-functioning and efficient environmental processes, in accordance with requirements and the best-established practices in the industry.
• Ensuring that the established processes are understood, functional and complied with throughout the company, and to implement necessary measures if needed.

Responsibilities within the area of environment:

• Upon request support projects, departments, operational units and corporate.
• Identify environmental risks in licence to operate including compliance through ISO14001.
• Coordinate permit applications including clear communication with authorities.
• Deliver oil spill response plans.
• Ensure activities/operations are within prescribed legislative framework and permitting regime.
• Monitor and track emissions to air, discharges to sea and waste.
• Review and update permits from authorities including EU-ETS CO2 quota permitting.
• Contribute/coordinate Impact Assessment processes, studies including BAT assessments, or applications for exemption.
• Coordinate environmental surveying & monitoring seabed surveys.
• Assess applications for exemptions.
• Annual reporting to authorities.
• Good knowledge of Ecotoxicology, HOCNF and chemical approval.
• Support Head of HSEQ in the establishment, implementation and delivery of environmental objectives, strategies, campaigns, audit plans, verifications, HSE programmes etc. through ISO14001.
• Reporting to both authorities and internal business partners in accordance with requirements Corporate Reporting / disclosure of environmental data (CSRD, CDP, IOGP).
• Be owner's representative for relevant processes and documents in the Business Management System.
• Be part of The ClientDea Oil Spill Response Team.
• Committed to company HSEQ policy and principles.
• Act responsibly and in accordance with company HSE and quality requirements.
• Act in accordance with company ethical guidelines and code of conduct.

General:

• Participate in verification, audits, design reviews, investigations, etc. according to plans & needs.
• Evaluate root causes and system failures leading to incidents and where relevant follow up recommendations.
• Contribute to improve the general knowledge and competence within the company.
• Participate in networks where these create value for the company.
• Contribute to effective communication with authorities, stakeholders, etc.

Qualifications

Education:

● Masters Degree or higher within Environmental Science
● Lack of formal education can be compensated by relevant experience.

Experience:

● Minimum 8 years relevant experience within the oil & gas business.
● Good knowledge of national environmental legislation.
● Norwegian.
● Fluent in English (oral and written).
