Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.
As the Site Planner, you will play a vital role in creating a comprehensive schedule for the installation team, which includes coordinating all activities in the depot. You will work closely with external customers and subcontractors to oversee and manage operations planning.
To excel in this role, you are expected to be proactive in maintaining timelines and meeting project deadlines, despite any potential hindrances. Additionally, you will need to identify reported clashes and coordinate issues between Alstom Plan and Customer plan.
Moreover, your role involves overseeing train delivery and ensuring that the project is executed effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Create and follow up on the detailed on-site activities schedule for Installation, Commissioning and department (train industrial schedule or Gantt chart)
- Monitor the resources booking process (driver request, train handover and handback coordination, track booking forecasts) and the use of possessions
- Support the department with their readiness status prior to site activities
- Attend to regular internal meetings: department meeting, planning reviews
- Attend to regular meetings with internal suppliers: control the supplier schedule and monitor the progress
- Attend to regular external meetings: Customer meetings related to site activities, third parties meetings related to site activities, synchronization meeting to push the plan
- Assess the progress of works against the schedule
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Graduated with a bachelor's degree
- Scheduling tool: MS Project as a minimum
- Language skills required: advanced/business fluent level of English. It will be a plus to have Norwegian language skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to fulfil the role of site coordinator towards internal department, internal supplier, Customer and third parties
- Decision-making and problem-solving ability
Things you'll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:
- Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
- Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

- Utilise our flexible working environment
- Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
- Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
- Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you
