Location: Stavanger, The role may involve sporadic travel offshore
Assignment Description
- Independently design wells to meet the well objectives and in compliance with governing regulations and client's processes and procedures
- Prepare D&W activity plans according to the well construction process
- Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into the designs
- Optimize all well activities and well design for optimum operational performance
- Plan and perform QA & QC of supplier's services, studies and equipment deliveries, including audits and investigations
- Monitor, evaluate and make recommendations to improve operational performance and capture learnings
- Provide technical input to and evaluation of tenders and contracts as required.
- Active mentor for junior professionals and contributor to external and internal professional networks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or similar relevant education required. MSc is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in well engineering and drilling operations.
- Relevant experience and technical understanding of planning and execution of offshore drilling and P&A operations
- Relevant experience and technical understanding of planning and execution of offshore well completion, testing and intervention operations
- Experience from subsea development wells, including early phase work. MLT experience desired.
- Good knowledge of regulations and relevant standards.
- Extensive experience with well planning and well planning software.
- Sound technical understanding of development and exploration drilling, HSE and field operation and commercial aspects
- Relevant offshore experience is desired
- Experience with contract management and tender evaluation
- Fluent in English (oral & written) with Norwegian preferred as an additional second language
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Very good communications skills across disciplines
- Good understanding of geology and subsea
- Good Business awareness and commercial understanding
- Performance mindset and problem-solving attitude
- Committed to company HSEQ policy and principles
- Act responsibly and in accordance with company HSE and quality requirements
