Tom Wood is a Norwegian jewellery house founded in 2013, internationally recognised for our contemporary and responsible approach to jewellery design. To succeed in this, Tom Wood needs a unified and strategic approach to driving profitability and sustainability across various international markets. This is why we are hiring a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

About the job
Own and lead Tom Wood's overall commercial strategy, ensuring profitable and sustainable international growth across markets, channels, pricing, customer development, and commercial operations. Working closely with the CEO, Creative Director and Chief Product Officer (CPO), the CCO will shape the long-term commercial direction of the company while ensuring flawless execution across Retail, Wholesale and E-commerce. Proven expertise and substantial experience in e-commerce are essential for success in this role and will be a decisive factor in the candidate selection process.
Tasks:
- Own the company's global revenue and commercial P&L performance across Retail, Wholesale and E-commerce, with accountability for topline growth, gross margin, channel profitability and commercial investment efficiency.
- Define the long-term commercial operating model, ensuring clear priorities across markets, channels and customer segments.
- Own the company's pricing strategy, channel strategy and commercial investment priorities to maximise long-term profitable growth.
- Own the company's customer strategy across channels, strengthening customer acquisition, retention, lifetime value and loyalty while building a unified view of the Tom Wood customer globally.
- Develop and lead Tom Wood's global market expansion strategy, determining where and how the brand should grow through own retail, e-commerce, wholesale, partnerships and other market-entry models.
- Ensure commercial insights actively shape product strategy, collection planning, pricing architecture and assortment decisions together with the CPO and Creative Director.
- Build a more data- and AI-enabled commercial organisation, improving forecasting, customer intelligence, pricing, assortment decisions, productivity and management decision-making.
- Act as a strategic commercial partner to the CPO and Creative Director, ensuring customer insight, commercial performance and market intelligence continuously inform product development, collection planning, assortment architecture and pricing decisions.
Leadership
The CCO leads the commercial organisation through the functional leaders of Retail, Wholesale and E-commerce. The role is primarily strategic rather than operational, focusing on setting direction, building organisational capability, strengthening leadership, and ensuring alignment across all commercial functions. At the same time, the successful candidate is expected to remain sufficiently close to the business to understand operational realities, coach leaders effectively, and contribute hands-on when required to solve critical business challenges or accelerate strategic initiatives.
What success looks like
Within the first year, the CCO will have established a clear global commercial growth model for Tom Wood, strengthened profitability across channels, accelerated priority international markets, elevated the commercial organisation and created a significantly more data-driven approach to customer, pricing, assortment and investment decisions.

The following qualifications will be valued:
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience with documented results in scaling premium, lifestyle, fashion, jewellery, or consumer brands internationally.
- Proven P&L ownership, including topline, gross margin, budget, forecasting, and KPI management.
