Oslo, Oslo County, Norway TN Norway Full time

The team, position and mission:
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Business Control & Analytics team at Digital Services, a business line of Orange Business. The team as a whole plays a crucial role in supporting the organization through strategic management of financial data and business processes. In this role, you will work closely with, and learn from two colleagues based in Oslo belonging to the DWH section of this team. Read on to see why they think you should join the team

As a part of the DWH team, you'll be essential to ensuring correct billing processes, managing both prepaid and volume invoicing twice a month. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining reports in the data warehouse as well as our customer invoicing system. Additionally, your team serves as the key point of contact for how we measure and invoice new products and services.

This position is vital to the business, as the team will ensure that data is accurately measured, transferred, and processed through the data warehouse, before being provided to the billing system. The reports generated from this data will play a crucial role in providing in-depth analysis and supporting informed decision-making.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Delivering accurate billing data to the billing system
  • Create billing logic within the data warehouse
  • Underlying procedures, data flow, and business logic in CLT, our customer billing system
  • Process both prepaid and volume invoices
  • Diagnosing, prioritizing, and resolving invoicing errors
  • Planning, assessing, and executing maintenance of content in the data warehouse
  • Collaborating with Data Analysts and Production Control to ensure data availability to other systems, while also serving as backup for Power BI services
  • Contribute to projects related to data and/or cost models

Why you should be interested in joining the team according to the team members:

  • "You'll play a crucial role in the organization, transforming raw data into revenue. I find it motivating to be involved in such a vital part of the process and to truly understand the flow of data within our company."
  • "This role offers opportunities for career growth, especially if you are interested in a position with internal collaboration. You will engage with various teams across the organization, which will give you valuable insights and learning opportunities."
  • "After previously working directly with customers, I enjoyed transitioning to a role without direct customer contact where my focus shifted to internal systems. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who prefers working with internal processes and colleagues, while gaining a good understanding of the data flow within our organization."

We are looking for people who have:

  • At least 2 years proven experience as a Data Warehouse Developer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) and SQL
  • At least 2 years ETL experience with complicated SSIS Package coding and maintenance
  • At least 2 years experience developing SSRS reports the business can use to run their business more effectively
  • Practical experience with BI reporting
  • Good understanding of both technical and business aspects of invoicing and financial processes
  • Structured, organized and have an eye for details, with a knack for spotting inconsistencies and ensuring accuracy
  • A curiosity for new technologies and exploring innovative ways of working
  • New logic/rules/process will be developed, and the ability to document is important (both user and system documentation)
  • Education within IT and/or Business
  • Fluent communication skills in English (verbal and written)

It's an added bonus but not a requirement if you have knowledge of:

  • Experience from working with programming/coding
  • Knowledge within IT business and cloud services
  • Fluency in Swedish or Norwegian as it will be beneficial working with some of our other teams

What we offer you:

  • We may work with tomorrow's technology, but at our core we are a people-oriented organization and we are proud to have our Great Place to Work certification
  • An open and inclusive culture that enables us to reach our full potential
