We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and dynamic Lead UX/UI Designer to head our team of UX/UI professionals.

In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience and interface of our SaaS solutions, ensuring they meet the unique needs of the oil and gas industry.

Stimline, with offices in Kristiansand, Stavanger and Houston, is a supplier of Drilling, Completion and Intervention software for D&W engineers worldwide.

Our vision is to transform Drilling, Completion and Intervention operations with innovative products and technology. By creating an integrated digital environment from planning to execution, our products will greatly increase performance and lower operational costs through continuous data-driven improvement.

Please note: Work permit in Norway is required.

You will need
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, including experience in a leadership role.
  3. A compelling portfolio that demonstrates a deep understanding of UX/UI principles and a track record of delivering intuitive and user-friendly designs.
  4. Expertise in a range of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and others.
  5. Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex design concepts clearly and persuasively.
  6. Prior experience with comprehensive SaaS solutions, with an understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.
Key responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX/UI designers, fostering an environment of creativity and innovation.
  • Design user-centric interfaces and experiences, tailoring solutions to streamline and enhance complex workflows.
  • Actively collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and stakeholders to align design concepts with business objectives and user needs.
  • Conceptualize and iterate design prototypes, from initial wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze user feedback, usability testing, and analytics to inform design decisions and continuous product improvement.
  • Ensure design consistency and coherence across all product interfaces, adhering to brand guidelines and industry standards.
  • Advocate for the latest UX/UI best practices, methodologies, and technologies within the team.
