PRA Group is looking for a talented legal counsel to join their Group legal function based in modern offices in Bjørvika, Oslo. As a legal counsel, your task ranges from helping with day-to-day legal matters, to drafting and reviewing contracts, to advising on negotiations and agreeing on Nordic commercial contracts. You will be a part of the Group legal team, which consists of 14 lawyers and 2 compliance assistants, across Europe. This role is based in Oslo and your role will mainly be focused on the Nordic countries. This role offers you the chance to work with a variety of different exciting work tasks and enables you to develop your own professional skillset.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
  • Participate in negotiation and delivery of portfolio acquisition in Norway, Sweden and Finland
  • Close collaboration with the operations team to operationalise contract obligations and advise on contract compliance
  • Participate in the drafting/reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing Nordic commercial contracts, from day-to-day engagements to major projects
  • Provide advice and support on GDPR matters
  • Follow up and advise relevant departments of any regulatory development in Norway
  • Support corporate governance by managing corporate books and files of various legal entities
  • Advising on policies for the Nordics
  • Advising the business on day-to-day legal matters

Minimum Requirements:
  • LL.M in either Norwegian or Swedish law.
  • Professional experience working with Norwegian Law
  • Native Norwegian or Swedish language and English fluency, both written and oral
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Experience working in partnerships, teams and collaboration
  • Strong analytical skills and the proven ability to develop commercially focused solutions
