Earthstream are currently looking for an 'Offshore Electrical Technician' to assist a windfarm project. This role involves the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of electrical systems and components on wind turbines, including cabling, electrical panels, transformers, and switchgear.
- Ensure all electrical systems are operating within required technical and safety specifications.
- Perform visual inspections and safety checks on electrical equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems using diagnostic tools and software to identify areas for improvement.
- Experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in both onshore and offshore settings.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
- Offshore survival and medical certifications, GWO BST.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician, ideally in the offshore wind industry.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems as they relate to electrical operations on wind turbines.
