About the role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in tackling tough technical challenges in software development. This role isn't about flashy interfaces or quick fixes, it's about getting under the hood, solving hard problems, and ensuring everything works seamlessly across platforms. This is a role for engineers who live for the details: tracking down elusive bugs, optimizing performance, and making sense of complex systems.

You'll collaborate directly with our CTO, as well as a team of engineers equally passionate about technical excellence. If you enjoy solving deep technical puzzles and taking on the challenges others avoid, we'd love to hear from you

We will count on you to:
  • Debug and troubleshoot low-level issues, from threading and async systems to the intricacies of keyboard focus.
  • Ensure robust cross-platform compatibility, building solutions that perform reliably in diverse environments.
  • Refine how frameworks like Avalonia integrate into our application, addressing edge cases and technical quirks to make everything work together smoothly.
  • Work with a multi-layered technology stack, including WPF, custom UI frameworks and C# to solve intricate technical challenges involving resource management, and efficient data handling.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to refine the overall user experience, integrating new technologies and enhancing existing systems.
  • Contribute to open-source projects to improve key libraries and frameworks used within the product.
  • Maintain high standards of code quality through code reviews, writing tests, and ensuring robust documentation.
Who we think you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a solid foundation in tackling complex software problems.
  • A deep interest in UI frameworks, threading, and grasping complex concepts like keyboard focus in multi-layered environments.
  • Hands-on experience in C# development.
  • Worked with open-source UI frameworks, and are excited by the idea of contributing to these projects.
  • A strong interest in diving into deep technical exploration and are passionate about solving unique and challenging software development problems.
