Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Advisor to join our team at Maschinen und Apparatebau Götzen GmbH (MAE). As a Strategic Communications Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting our government clients in developing and implementing effective strategic communications plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in strategic communications to government clients, including developing and implementing strategic communications plans, messaging, and campaigns.
  • Assist in the development of exercise scenarios and training materials, ensuring that they are realistic and coherent with the client's strategic communications objectives.
  • Act as the focal point for government clients on strategic communications matters during exercise preparation and execution.
  • Coordinate strategic communications operational matters within the client's organization and our team.
  • Develop and present plans for the use of strategic communications by government clients in various scenarios.
  • Assist in the coordination of strategic communications messaging with government clients and other stakeholders.
  • Produce strategic communications messages via various communication channels in coordination with our team.
Requirements
  • 3 years' experience in communications and public relations on a ministerial department level (or equivalent international level).
  • Experience in military strategic communications.
  • 3 years' experience in briefing senior leaders/decision makers at the governance level in a National or Multinational environment.
Education
  • A University/Bachelor's Degree in communications or 8 years equivalent working experience.
Language
  • Business English.
Working Location
  • Remote work may be requested on an ad-hoc per requirement basis.
Working Policy
  • Each exercise support requirement is anticipated to be 5 to 15 working days per event.
  • On-Site, unless otherwise specified with up to 12-hour days.
  • If out of normal hours work is required, this will be requested on a per requirement basis.
Travel
  • Any associated travel costs to and from your home location to participate in the activity will be covered by MAE.
Security Clearance
  • Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.
