Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SAS Engineer to join our team at Omega 365 Consulting. As a SAS Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in Front End Studies and working on various projects in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Front End Studies as a SAS Engineer
  • Work on projects in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors
  • Specify, dimension, and integrate process control and monitoring systems, fire and gas detection and protection/shutdown systems, including field devices and safety shutdown systems (ESD and PSD)
  • Take responsibility and ownership for the procurement process of a discipline or multidiscipline procurement package
  • Provide necessary support during installation and maintenance of SAS-related equipment and modifications
  • Develop new and maintain system design documentation, including system philosophies and specifications, alarm specifications, and process documentation
  • Perform analysis and calculations according to IEC 61508/61511
  • Translate process functionality to the system supplier
  • Follow up on supplier documentation and verify resulting software and hardware deliverables
  • Interact with and understand input documentation from source disciplines, such as process, electrical, and safety
  • Available for work in Norway
  • Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English and team player
Requirements
  • MSc, BSc, Technical College, or other relevant education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an engineer
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
