About the Role

Techconsult AS is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating HVAC systems for our clients in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement system design philosophies for HVAC systems, ensuring they meet functional requirements, control philosophies, and operational philosophies.
  2. Coordinate and oversee the design and implementation of HVAC systems, ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines.
  3. Design and develop ductwork systems, ensuring optimal airflow and efficiency.
  4. Conduct calculations to determine air flow rates and heat emissions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  5. Specify and select HVAC equipment, considering capacity and feasibility.
  6. Coordinate technical inquiries and procurements for HVAC equipment and bulk materials.
  7. Act as the responsible engineer for HVAC packages, ensuring timely completion and quality.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure HVAC design aligns with overall project objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  2. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in HVAC system design or HVAC PRE in the oil and gas industry, preferably with experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
  3. Proficiency in PDMS/E3D and offshore survey software.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  5. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and deadlines.
  6. Proactive and collaborative, with a willingness to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
  7. Valid offshore and health certificates are an advantage.
