We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Director to lead our cloud and data strategy.

As a Technical Director - Cloud and Data, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud and data infrastructure to support our precision fish farming solution.

You will work closely with our Computer Vision team to ensure seamless data ingestion, efficient ML training workflows, and reliable data access for end users.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud and hybrid data storage solutions (S3, GCP, Azure), development of REST APIs, and modern DevOps and deployment approaches (Cloud, Kubernetes, GitOps).

Additionally, you should be familiar with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), infrastructure as a code (SaltStack, Terraform), and Linux servers.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud and data infrastructure to support our precision fish farming solution
  • Work closely with the Computer Vision team to ensure seamless data ingestion, efficient ML training workflows, and reliable data access for end users
  • Develop and maintain efficient data storage solutions (structured and unstructured)
  • Provide APIs and data interfaces for easy access to processed information
  • Collaborate with ML engineers, software developers, and cloud engineers to ensure seamless data workflows
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in writing efficient and maintainable code (we mostly use Rust, Python, and Typescript, but knowledge of specific languages is not required)
  • Experience with cloud & hybrid data storage solutions (S3, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with development of REST APIs
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps and deployment approaches (Cloud, Kubernetes, GitOps)
  • Experience with infrastructure as a code (SaltStack, Terraform)
  • Familiarity with Linux servers
