Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Engineering Consultants Norway AS in Haugesund. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical equipment package and ensuring its successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the mechanical equipment package in studies and execution projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  2. Develop and manage technical requisitions for mechanical equipment, collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  3. Evaluate bids from vendors, ensuring compliance with Equinor technical requirements and company standards.
  4. Coordinate package follow-up, ensuring seamless execution and resolving any issues that may arise.
  5. Work closely with manufacturers to oversee equipment overhaul, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  6. Conduct inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure mechanical equipment meets project specifications.
  7. Contribute to the development of work packages, ensuring alignment with project objectives and company standards.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Technical college or similar experience may be acceptable with extensive experience in mechanical engineering.
  3. Proven experience as a Package Responsible Engineer for mechanical equipment, with a strong understanding of Equinor technical requirements.
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Multidisciplinary understanding and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  7. Fluency in Norwegian, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
