Job Summary

Techconsult AS is seeking a highly skilled Piping/Senior Pipe Support Designer and Checker to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for performing pipe support design activities, including modeling, calculations, and drawing production.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Modeling: Perform pipe support design activities, including modeling, calculations, and drawing production.
  2. Design Review and Quality Assurance: Check the pipe support detailed drawing and advise designers for corrections.
  3. Frame Calculations and Analysis: Perform/check frame calculations and other relevant calculations (e.g., trunnions).
  4. Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with piping and pipestress teams for optimal support solutions.
  5. Design Optimization: Have the ability to see multiple designs in the E3D model and be solution-oriented.
  6. Project Management and Quality Control: Good understanding of project plans and a high loyalty to deadlines and project quality requirements.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or similar.
  2. Work Experience: Minimum 10 years.
  3. Qualifications: Have multidiscipline knowledge and act proactively, seeking/advising/sharing experience in the design process.
  4. Software Skills: Experience with Aveva Everything 3D (E3D) Modeling tool & Staad based programs.
  5. Previous Experience: Previous knowledge from the customer's organization will be preferred.
  6. Offshore and Fabrication Experience: Some offshore and fabrication experience will also be preferred.
  7. Communication Skills: Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural working teams required. English communication skills required, both orally and in writing.
