We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Research on Discretion and Paternalism (DIPA) at the Department of Government, University of Bergen, Norway.
Key Responsibilities:- Support academic staff in their instructional and research endeavors
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects
- Assist with data collection, coding, and analysis
- Participate in the organization of conferences and seminars
- Conduct literature searches and provide research support
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
- Master's degree in political science or economy
- Excellent skills in quantitative methods and statistical analysis software
- Mature understanding of social science methodology
- Experience with handling large datasets and data from multiple countries
- Excellent language skills in English, both oral and written
- Good administrative IT skills
- Good academic results and ability to work systematically and results-oriented
- Good cooperation and communication skills
- High work capacity and strong motivation for the research areas of the DIPA center
- A good and professionally challenging working environment
- Gross annual salary as research assistant (code 1020) NOK 509300
- Enrolment in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund
