About the Position

The Technical Account Manager - ABB Norway will be responsible for providing technical authority and oversight for contract deliverables, maintaining knowledge of plant operations technology, and contributing to plant integrity and uptime.

Your Key Tasks

  • Ensure technical excellence in contract deliverables.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the plant's operations technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance plant performance.
  • Analyze and respond to field alerts to minimize risk.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the CMDB.
  • Develop and implement best practices for production and risk management.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to define scope of work, estimate resources, and verify technical specifications.
  • Support ABB's ServiceDesk in addressing technical incidents related to plant operations.
  • Maintain and manage test systems at the ABB premises in Stavanger.
  • Participate in project deliveries to plant sites, including offshore travel and site work.
  • Build strong relationships with customers' technical organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; relevant work experience can compensate for formal education.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within ABB.
  • Preferably experience as a technical lead and/or system expert.
  • Familiarity with Sleipner and Gudrun systems, including site-specific knowledge and experience, is preferable.
  • Ability to support customers and contractors in troubleshooting various systems, including System 800xA, Advant, Safeguard, PIMS, Server/Clients, Networks.
  • Capacity to travel offshore on an occasional basis.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Structured and quality-oriented approach.
  • Pleasant collaboration with others.
  • Effective communication with coworkers and customers.
  • High level of professional integrity.
  • Fluency in English or Norwegian.
