NHH offers a competitive salary that is negotiable within the state salary scale, reflecting both level of competence and length of service. Additionally, exceptional candidates may have opportunities for supplementing their base salary through external research grants and teaching in executive programs.

Job Description

We invite applications for a position as Associate Professor in Business Economics at the Department of Accounting, Auditing and Law. The department offers a stimulating research environment with internationally renowned research groups, providing high-quality research and teaching.

The successful candidate will contribute to the department's active research environment and broad international research network in Financial Accounting and Auditing. They will demonstrate high quality in both research and teaching, with a PhD degree from a recognised business school or university, obtained within the recent 5 years.

The research area and methodology should focus on business economics primarily using experimental methods. The candidate will investigate how individuals and organisations make ethical decisions and how economic, cognitive, and social factors shape the behavior of accountants/auditors, employees, and managers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • PhD degree in business economics or a related field, obtained from an internationally accredited institution within the recent 5 years.
  • Demonstrated high quality in both research and teaching, with relevant research and teaching capabilities.
  • International research experience and collaboration, with a proven track record of publishing in top academic journals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage large classes and interact effectively with students.
  • Fluency in either Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish at a minimum of the B2 level (The Common European Framework).
