HSE Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in improving our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in HSE work and at least 10 years of experience in chemical, metallurgical, mechanical, or electrical fields.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing robust risk management processes within the organization.
• Ensuring that HSE training plans are developed regarding role responsibility and HSE training content development.
• Implementing Process Safety within the organization.
• Establishing and maintaining our HSE system called FORUS.

You will also be responsible for coordinating and controlling meetings, setting up strategies and plans for improvement activities, and influencing, coaching, and cooperating with people of multicultural backgrounds.

The ideal candidate should have an independent and proactive approach to help improve HSE in Elkem. You will need to be able to travel intermittently on a global basis and prefer to work in Kristiansand or Oslo.

This permanent full-time position reports to the Vice President of Health, Safety, and Environment.
